Medical Receptionist
Now Hiring - Part-Time
Position: Medical Receptionist
We are looking for a reliable and friendly medical receptionist to join our team! As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
Requirements:
Education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working in a medical office or similar environment preferred.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to listen actively, ask clarifying questions, and convey information clearly and compassionately.
Organizational skills: Strong organizational skills required. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, keep track of appointment schedules, patient records, and other administrative tasks with ease.
Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records required. Ability to use scheduling software and other software applications preferred.
Customer service skills: Excellent customer service skills required. Ability to provide courteous, patient, and empathetic service to patients, handle difficult or upset patients with professionalism and grace.
Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail required. Ability to accurately enter and maintain patient information in electronic medical records. Ability to identify errors and discrepancies and take steps to correct them.
Medical knowledge: Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check-in patients
Schedule appointments and confirm patient information
Answer phone calls and direct inquiries
Manage patient records and update electronic medical records
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient satisfaction
Clean patient rooms or other areas of the facility as needed
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
