The LFS Group is looking for a Medical Technologist to develop and monitor test systems and perform and interpret lab tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

This position is located at Northside Hospital. Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing. Schedule:

• 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
• Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor test systems
• Perform and interpret lab tests for diagnosis
• Work with samples of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those test
• Determine specimen validity within the first 20 minutes of receiving the specimen
• Perform recollection protocols if a specimen is rejected
• Identify, diagnose and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment
• Verify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen
• Label and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievable

Qualifications:

• All applicants shall meet the education, experience and certification requirements of an MTI and have at least one year experience in a clinical laboratory
• All applicants must submit to and pass a Color-Acuity screening Test.
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
