This job is a member of the Servicing Operations team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing sympathetic and caring assistance to beneficiaries and surviving spouses for accounts of deceased members.

What you'll do

• Communicate with deceased members' loved ones to ascertain how the account will be transferred or settled and offer assistance with any account transactions
• Create a case file of detailed notes and notifies affected departments
• Assist with gathering appropriate documents and researching records
• Utilize Episys Core System processes to settle Deceased Accounts
• Notify and work with appropriate departments in charge of products held by deceased accounts
• Consult with Legal Department concerning questions about certain documentation or legal beneficiaries to the account
• Work closely with Deposit Programs when IRA/Share Certificates are involved
• Open new Shares and Checking accounts for loved ones and assist with the transfer of existing deceased account numbers when applicable
• Assist Branch staff with loved ones in person
• Answer incoming ACD calls
• Work on various department projects
• The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Previous banking or Credit Union experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
• Knowledge of Episys system
• Ability to perform in a fast - paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
• Ability to interact professionally with all employees and members
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data
• Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plus
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
• Must pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
