Position Summary
The Membership Manager will be responsible for all daily operations of their Anytime Fitness location. This position is responsible for the management and supervision of all support personnel, operating procedures, membership services & policies, and club promotions. The Membership Manager reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager (ROM).
Responsibilities
Personnel Development
- Participate in monthly audits concerning the areas of customer service, administration, facility & equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and medical & security mitigation, ensuring 100% compliance
- Submit reports on a reoccurring basis outlining sales, deposits, member actions, and procedural compliance
- Work with the third-party financial company, ABC, and reporting to insure correct billing
- Respond to all emergency calls and review/report security infractions
- Responsible for continued growth, development, and refinement of all present and future procedures, ensuring that business is conducted morally, ethically, and with the utmost of professionalism
Operations
- Execute scheduled cultural activities within the club, promoting member collaboration, communication, and competition
- Assist with company partnerships/sponsorships with community organizations/events
- Generate content to assist in maintaining the club’s social media presence
Member Culture
- Execute scheduled promotions to achieve annual sales goals and benchmarks
- Perform the 9-step sales process, providing prospects with a personal experience while systematically alleviating barriers to entry and accurately recording/uploading information
- Manage leads from multiple sources to include referrals, trial periods, corporate partnerships, community outreach, virtual/print advertising, sales promotions, etc.
- Manage the automatic renewal program and EFT policy, increasing the lifespan of the average membership
- Ensure members have the assistance they need to achieve their goals while addressing any breakdowns in service
Sales Management
- Assist in the training of sales staff, identifying under performers for development or turnover
- Participate in weekly evaluation meetings for ROM direction and short-term goal setting

Qualifications
Education: Associates degree in a related field (e.g. business administration) or equivalent educational level preferred. The lack of a degree may be compensated with additional experience.
Experience: Two (2) or more years of sales management experience and management experience with direct reports.
Schedule: 40 hours scheduled within seven (7) consecutive days (Monday – Sunday). Working hours are scheduled according to the needs of the department and the company.
Compensation
Wages: $15.00/hour payable, in semi-monthly installments. Graduated increases contingent upon regularly scheduled employment evaluations, to include potential annual increases.
Commission: $500 fixed monthly rate, as well as $10 for each new member per month, for sales in excess of 30 new members, that signs up for 1yr or more:
80% of new members must complete a Fitness Consultation or total commission payout decreases to 80% of maximum. Fitness Consultation conversion rates and commission totals are determined on a monthly basis.
Vacation/Sick pay: 0 < 2 Year anniversary of Employment –> 4 hours PTO accrued per month
2 < 4 Year anniversary of Employment –> 8 hours PTO accrued per month
4 < 7 Year anniversary of Employment –> 10 hours PTO accrued per month
7< Year anniversary of Employment –> 14 hours PTO accrued per month
Max carryover from December to January = 80 hours
Holiday pay: 8 hours will be paid for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and one floating holiday of your choosing (Birthday, Anniversary, extra vacation day.)
Medical Insurance: Up to $250 reimbursement each month for a policy that is chosen and paid for by the employee. Contingent upon a positive review following your one-year anniversary of employment, your medical reimbursement will increase to $300 each month.
Continuing Education / Certification: Reimbursement of 50% of the cost of continuing education credits or new certifications up to $500 per year.
