OUR PRODUCT: lithium-ion batteries for material handling equipment, primarily forklifts

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wear all required PPE and follow Company safety guidelines
• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
• Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
• Ballast Units by placing metal sheets into Battery Case (training provided)
• Grind and finish the battery boxes prior to powder coating
• Operate the laser cutter as a back up
• Match the inventory of boxes and lids prior to powder coating
• Inform Lead weekly/daily of needed supplies in your work area
• Operate company vehicles as needed (must be properly licensed)
• Light duty welding
• Operate the forklift by request if trained and licensed
• Execute dump runs
• Assist with Research and Development per request
• Perform housekeeping as needed
• Check output to ensure highest quality
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Be responsible for Quality Assurance of Product coming in and exiting your work station
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
• Ability to use tools (i.e., clamps) and machines (i.e., presses)
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

SCHEDULE: 6:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
