Essential Job Functions:

Positions exist as Senior Military in the Quartermaster command level and Training Management Office.

The Senior Military Analyst, possessing an understanding of Army Doctrine and Concepts is required to independently formulate a thesis, independently conduct research, evaluate the thesis, counter-thesis, or differing courses of action and provide support for a conclusion based on logical evaluation. The Military Analyst is responsible for supporting Quartermaster School leadership with technical writing and editing of Command Initiatives. The Military Analyst will produce and update various mediums of communication to promulgate QMS Strategic messages. Duties include preparing management slides and analysis of critical issues that affect the organization and structure of the QMS and its training capabilities. The Analyst will publish operations orders and associated memorandums and letters of instruction in accordance with OPORDs, FRAGOs and task orders. Duties include reviewing and analyzing completed taskings for effectiveness, efficiency and adherence to policy. The Military Analyst will coordinate Forces Command Troop School quarterly training review and analysis sessions, build SharePoint capabilities such as Libraries, Communications, Tracking, Custom Lists, Pages and Sites and set up surveys, compile survey data and update survey information. The Military Analyst will conduct research and analysis to extract data and information from all feedback and reach-back vehicles (End of Course Critiques; Graduate Surveys; Supervisor Surveys; Instructor Surveys) to enhance Soldiers training and education experiences across all Quartermaster School courses.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of ten (10) years’ of military experience in a senior staff level position.
  • Have successfully completed Command and General Staff College. Possess outstanding communicative skills both verbal and nonverbal.
  • Proficient with computer programs (Word, Power Point, Excel), and ensure ability to access all required training tools.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • Capability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess and maintain all required training and certifications.

Work Environment:
Work is conducted on Fort Lee, VA. Schedule does include recognized Federal Holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Overtime will not be authorized. Remote work not available.

Travel:
Travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) to support tasks and requirements may be required.
