Position Summary:

The Crushing and Grinding supervisor is responsible for the operations of the mill room and outside yard. This positions primary responsibility is to manage the supply of bulk raw material through fractional size distributions produced from crushing and grinding. Organizational credibility, high level of delivery, and follow through are the keys to being successful in this position. This role requires a high degree of discretion, good judgment, and tact.

Job Reports To:

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

This position is typically Monday-Friday with occasional off hour shift work

Essential Functions:

· Support Resco’s Culture and drive our Vision, Mission, and Values at the Plant.

· Support all safety initiatives of the company

· Work with suppliers on incoming raw material needs and ordering/scheduling trucks

· Manage Union workforce including material and manpower schedule

· Monitor inventory levels and adjust the equipment & schedule based on production needs

· Communicate with raw material suppliers & logistic companies

· Collaborate with maintenance, testing lab & corporate engineering

· Problem solve as issues arise and maintain constant presence on production floor

Required Education, Skills, and Other Attributes:

· Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and MRP systems

· Think critically and process orientated

· Must be hands-on and capable of working with limited direction

· Must be self-motivated and work autonomously

· Must be results-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Excellent project management skills including successful leadership of projects from planning phase through completion.

· Possess innovative leadership, communication, delivery, consultative, partnership, and team building skills

Preferences:

· Experience working with Union members / union environment

· Experience with crushing and grinding equipment

· College Degree preferred but not required
