Children’s House Montessori in Whitefish is looking for an experienced Montessori-certified lead teacher for our primary classroom (ages 3-6 years). Qualifications

Required

• Montessori trained and a currently nationally recognized Montessori certification
• Education and/or experience to be certified as a Primary Care Provider in the State of Montana
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership skills

Preferred

• Two years classroom teaching experience, preferably in preschool or K-3.
• One year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general supervision and management of classroom, consistent with the Montessori philosophy.
• Develop and implement daily activities (works), which will support positive behavior and a healthy, child-centered learning environment for children of mixed ages; consistent with the Montessori philosophy.
• Maintain overall safety of the Preschool environment, including knowledge of and adherence to all CHMS, County, State, and Federal safety regulations and guidelines for both schools and childcare facilities.
• Provide regular feedback to parents about how their child is doing by being available to and communicate with parents.

Effectively supervise and train the Preschool Assistant(s), including conducting an annual evaluation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
