Carneys Point Metal Processing, Inc. is hiring a NACE Coating and paint inspector for our facility in Carneys Point, NJ. CPMP is an SSPC/AMPP QP3 blast and paint shop, processing large scale industrial steel for multiple industries.

Position Requirements

· Minimum NACE Level 1 with one year inspection experience.

· Knowledge of a wide variety of surface preparation methods, special coatings and coating techniques.

· Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively – independently motivated.

· Ability to multi-task as there are multiple jobs in shop at all times.

· Must supply references.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

· Inspection and trouble-shooting of coatings applications, and coordination with production personnel (blasters and painters) to resolve issues to ensure a quality product.

· In addition to communicating with blasters and paint crew, communication with third party inspectors and CPMP Management.

· Communicating with manufacturers and technical support personnel to resolve all paint related issues.

· Ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed included proper PPE, storage, application, and all other precautions as indicted on the Safety Data Sheets.

· Completing all required digital and paper documentation for Quality Control compliance.

· Completing Daily Coating Inspection Reports along with Hold Point and Final Inspections.

· Monitor surface and atmospheric conditions to ensure proper application of coating.
