As a Software Developer reporting to IT Management and Software Development, the resource will be responsible
for the successful delivery of software development projects and production development support. The resource will
participate in software SDLC life cycle to implement a solution while taking on various responsibilities in the team to
deliver a high quality managed service solution to our internal customers. Have a strong analytic ability with a self
starter attitude and the drive for success.

Description of Duties:

  • Design and Development of core system software system and its various components
  • Work closely with program staff, architects, developers and DBAs to deliver high quality software
  • Analyze application problems, recommend and develop solutions
  • Produce and maintain program code and documentation
  • Perform system testing with internal clients
  • Provide support during various phases of testing as well as production support
  • Prepare test plans and technical documentation for the execution of various software systems
  • Participate in development stand ups and software demonstrations
  • Review requirements with the users and provides time estimates for task completion
  • Various other development and supporting tasks

Required Experience

  • Knowledge of Licensing Services business practices and procedures;
  • Information Technology principles and practices; project organization, management and control and
procedures; standards, best practices and procedures;
  • Strong understanding of object oriented development and design and the 3tier architecture model;
  • Ability and skill to analyze evaluate and resolve complex issues;
  • Conduct effective, collaborative work with peers, Program administration, and management at all levels;
  • Knowledge, skills, and ability with development tools and languages including: Microsoft Membership
Provider, ASP.Net UI (web controls, master and content pages, code behind/partial classes), general UI
(XHTML (Div and Span), CSS, jQuery & plugins), AJAX (JavaScript DOM, jQuery/JSON), middle tier (web
services Ajax client side communication, C#, classes and objects, properties, constructors, methods,
Windows Communications Foundation), ADO.Net objects and methods, XML XPATH, XSLT, Relational
database programming (ORACLE) PL/SQL stored procedures and packages (Oracle version 10g or above),
UNIX shell scripting
  • Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years programming/ analysis required;
  • Design and develop advanced relational databases;
  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to quickly learn new business and technical concepts in a fast paced service focused environment;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written communication/analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • Good customer service and must be comfortable interacting with clients and internal staff;
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work well independently and within a team environment;
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle several tasks efficiently;
  • Proactive, can do attitude and ability to cope well under pressure;
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment;
  • Healthcare industry related Finance/Accounting systems development experience is considered an asset.
