Job Summary/Description:

Local News LIVE is looking for anchors to host our 24/7 live streaming news network. The ideal candidate has a passion for journalism, a strong background in storytelling, and a desire to own breaking news as well as the big stories happening across the country. Local News LIVE is seeking anchors who think on their feet, thrive on what’s happening in the moment and embrace a startup culture.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Anchor breaking news coverage, live events, and daily newscasts
• Ability to present the news unscripted
• Write headlines, scripts as assigned by producing team to contribute to the overall

• Collaborate with producers to develop and deliver compelling news coverage
• Process constantly changing information for presentation in a non-scripted live

• Prepare, executive strong live interviews and conversations with newsmakers and

• Assist producers with newsgathering and procuring resources

Qualifications/Requirements:

• BS/BA in journalism, communications or related field preferred
• Three or more years as a news anchor at a TV station
• Sound editorial judgment and AP style writing skills
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring strict deadlines and

• Familiarity with ENPS, BitCentral and digital content management systems
• Skilled communicator, capable of speaking to a diverse audience and conveying
