We are looking for Nurse Technicians to join our Nurse Technician training program at Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, WA.
Program Summary
The candidate will have a paid position, at the time of hire. You will earn a wage while working as a Nurse Tech in our program designed to support and accelerate the skills you are learning in nursing school. MultiCare will provide career planning and opportunities to experience various work settings each term to assist you as a Nurse Tech in identifying your ideal work environment. MultiCare will also supply additional education opportunities to advance your career path.
Upon graduation, you would apply to MultiCare RN Transition to Practice program to transition from student to professional nurse.

Program Details
- Must have completed 1st semester and a clinical rotation of an accredited program.
- Per-diem/On-call, non-benefit eligible, non union position.
- Can work anywhere from on-call to full time hours during the school year and availability.
- Pay rate: $20.00 Flat rate
- Eligible for an optional $2500.00 tuition assistance payment, every 6 months. For every $2500.00 payment received, a 6 month work agreement is required. After the 90 day probationary period, candidate would be eligible for tuition assistance application. (If no tuition assistance funds are requested, there is no required work agreement.)
- Career exploration support and an opportunity to work on units of interest.
- Upon graduation of Nursing School, you would be encouraged to apply for RN Transition to Practice positions at MultiCare.
Position Summary
The Nursing Technician is a student enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school and has completed at least one academic term, which included a clinical component, or an individual who has completed the Registered Nurse course of study and is awaiting the results of their NCLEX exams. The Nursing Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care applying current health concepts and performing routine duties to the level of academic competence accomplished in the individuals educational program(s) under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. This is an entry level nursing position requiring knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral and sociological sciences.
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
- Current enrolled as a student in accredited school preparing persons to practice as a Registered Nurse and completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component /OR Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing awaiting results of licensing exam for Registered Nurse, but no longer than 30 days past graduation
- Documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School course work
- Nurse Tech Registration required prior to start.
