NMC is currently recruiting for a full-time, Occupational Health Navigator. 80 hours bi-weekly (hours are 8a-4:30p Mon-Fri).

  • JOB SUMMARY:
    • The Occupational Health Specialist is responsible for coordination of occupational health services, Lifestyle Medicine & Rehab Services, including supporting existing clients, onboarding new clients, and managing all worker compensation patients who are seen in the ED or Urgent Care. Works collaboratively with the NOH Medical Director and management to develop and improve the occupational health program, including development of new services. Provides education to client team leads and Occupational Health staff on services offered by Northwestern Occupational Health. Maintains knowledge of applicable occupational health regulations. Is primary resource for existing clients. In conjunction with Coordinators/Supervisors/Managers/Directors, performs, monitors and finalizes accuracy of procedure setup to assure quality of services provided at sites. Super-user for occupational health EMR and maintains the database. Manages drug testing program. In conjunction with management, performs program planning, onsite client support, and contract development. With the NOH financial representative, is responsible for accounts receivable and working delinquent accounts.
  • PREREQUISITES
    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Associates required. Knowledge of basic CPT and ICD-10 required.

Experience: Experience with client support in a medical setting preferred. Experience with an electronic health record required, including program customization.

Other: Excellent computer, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Able to flexibly problem solve and suggest improvements to work processes. Ability to work with various stakeholders to achieve necessary goals: employers, providers, staff, insurance carriers, case managers, patients and families. Sound analytical and problem solving skills. Positive can-do attitude required. Must perform work with a high level of accuracy. Evening and weekend work may be required. Occasional on-site work required at client companies. Work at more than one location required. Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel between sites.
