Job Summary:

Under the direction of their leadership team, licensed Kansas City, Kansas police officers will work assigned events at Legends Field to be scheduled and paid by BEST Crowd Management. Police officer work is available year-round on an as needed basis.

$40/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to the client and all guests attending the event
• Identify issues occurring at events and forward to Event Manager/Command Staff. May be responsible for writing a report of the situation or assisting with an investigation as directed
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
• Be cognizant observing the conditions or incidents and report incidents/conditions to the appropriate management staff
• Greet patrons in a friendly and warm manner.
• Report for work as scheduled and in accordance with all attendance requirements
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform job tasks in a professional manner in a customer service driven industry
• Must have the ability to be on your feet in your requested upon area for extended periods of time.
• Attention to detail with a constant awareness of surroundings
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written; reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Adaptability – Responds effectively to changes in situation or information
• Must be a licensed police officer in Kansas City, Kansas

Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, it is required to frequently sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. They are required to stand or walk for extended periods of time. On occasion, they may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. Position may also require work in confined spaces and exposure to different types of outdoor weather conditions.

Must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
