Office Manager
Job description
Coconut Grove Construction is seeking an Office Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for an established roofing contractor. The Office Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support for field operations.
Construction/Roofing Experience Desired.
Responsibilities/Competencies
- Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to clients and staff.
- Direct and supervise construction workers.
- Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate materials and methods.
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations.
- Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
- Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergencies.
- Develop or implement quality control programs.
- Requisition supplies or materials to complete construction projects.
- Determine labor requirements for dispatching workers to construction sites.
- Apply for and obtain all necessary permits or licenses.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in office management in a construction environment, roofing experience a strong plus
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills. Ability to work cross functionally with departments and team members.
- Detail oriented to organize and handle multiple projects
- Exhibit a positive professional attitude, maintain confidentiality, and have a high-level of customer service skills for internal and external customers.
- Willing to work in a construction environment and comply with all safety requirements.
- Computer skills-proficiency with Apple/Mac operating system a plus.
- Self-starter
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Travel may be required depending on the project location.
Physical Requirements

- Frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
