As an Operations Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel to ensure the smooth running of all departments. Your duties will involve managing staff, implementing procedures to increase efficiency, overseeing the financial performance of the hotel, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Below is a list of some of the exciting work you will be carrying out as the Operations Manager:
- Staff management: You will be responsible for managing and supervising staff in all departments of the hotel, including, front desk and food and beverage. This may involve scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Operations management: You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that everything is running smoothly and efficiently. This may involve monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and coordinating with vendors.
- Financial management: You will be responsible for managing the financial performance of the hotel, including creating and managing budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses, and analyzing financial statements.
- Guest satisfaction: You will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a positive experience at the hotel. This may involve resolving guest complaints, managing guest relations, and implementing procedures to improve guest satisfaction.
- Safety and security: You will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel is a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. This may involve implementing safety protocols, training staff in emergency procedures, and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Marketing and promotions: You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Reporting: You will be responsible for preparing regular reports for senior management, including financial reports, operational reports, and guest satisfaction reports.
- Compliance: You will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel is in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety regulations and employment laws.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel operations management.
- Strong leadership, communications, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk and food and beverage.
- Understanding of financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
