US Logistics Solutions is looking for a capable and dedicated individual to work as an Operations Manager The qualified candidate will coordinate all activities of driver & dock functions along with other support personnel You will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly dock, conveyor, equipment and truck maintenance In addition, the Operations Manager will oversee dock worker & driver training, performance feedback, and provide disciplinary recommendations when necessary Previous experience with DOT rules and regulations is required

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ensure all work is safely performed according to USLSOL approved procedures, standards, and specifications
• Directly supervise all activities of dockworkers, drivers, and support personnel
• Daily load planning and routing per customer delivery schedule and times for efficiency and cost reduction
• Provide guidance to subordinates on goals and objectives on a weekly basis
• Be responsible for employee development, accountability, coaching, and counseling
• Ensure proper maintenance of the facility, forklift equipment, trailers, and handling supplies
• Perform facility inspections
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have management experience (5+ years preferred), in a high-volume, fast distribution environment
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering preferred
• Previous experience with UPS, FedEx, or similar is a plus
• Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess demonstrated leadership ability in safety and employee development & retention
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
• Must be flexible to work weekends and nights occasionally
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations
• Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
• May be required to get qualified to drive Non-CDL equipment
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Bilingual preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,976.61 - $109,367.08 per year
