Job Title: Operations Manager Landscaping
JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all field operations for landscaping and snow removal. This position coordinates the use of resources, including labor, equipment and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines, and quality standards. Operations Manager promotes the growth and development of field staff and assists them in carrying out their responsibilities as needed. Identify sales opportunities for landscaping and enhanced market share.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS – ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS
- Managing the daily assignments of the branch staff ensuring that work is performed in the most productive manner to meet specified budgets. Manages and schedules labor, equipment and materials.
- Oversees summer landscaping and winter snow removal
- Identify sales opportunities and pursue those opportunities toward the sale of landscape maintenance and enhancement services, this includes written proposals, pricing and customer relations.
- Ensure that all required paperwork is prepared accurately and timely.
- Ensuring that all trucks, trailers and equipment are maintained to company safety standards,
- Investigate and write reports of accidents, incidents, damages and submit to proper authorities.
- Continually assessing operational procedures and make recommendations to enhance value, improve efficiency and sharing those insights to further the goals of the company.
- Orders materials, equipment and supplies as needed within purchasing limits.
- Adhere to all applicable safety practices.
- Promote and exhibit Company culture and values.
- Ensure that facilities and equipment are clean projecting a positive image of the Company.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school Diploma/GED.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience
- Comfortable wearing safety equipment including respirator, goggles and/or other PPE.
- Must have a valid Michigan Chauffer’s Driver’s License.
- Strong computer skills in Excel and Word.
- Strong written and oral skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Constant mobility including walking, crawling, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, looking, probing, climbing, pushing, pulling, balancing, stretching and standing for long periods of time.
- Operation of hand and power equipment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to sustain physically demanding outdoor work in all types of weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
