An experienced Ophthalmic Technician /Assistant is sought for our private ophthalmology practice in Durham. Do you prefer a small, personable experience rather than being lost in a big system? Our ophthalmology practice in Durham, NC seeks candidates with the following
The position requires at least 1 full year of experience working with an ophthalmologist as an ophthalmic technician or assistant, and at least one year of prior experience with the following
-Taking patient history
-Checking Visual Acuity
-Checking IOPs (Goldman applanation)
-Assessing Pupils, EOMS, and Confrontation Fields
-Manual/Manifest Refractions.
-Visual Fields, OCTs, IOL Master, Topography, Pachymetry
Applicants should be very familiar with all of the above aspects of ophthalmology patient workups and:

-enjoy contributing to a positive and friendly work environment, while maintaining a high level of efficiency
Technicians with administrative interests and a desire to grow into a leadership/managerial role are encouraged to apply!
This position can be either full-time or part-time depending upon the candidate's preference.
