Ophthalmic Technician

Be part of an exciting and team-oriented, multi-specialty Ophthalmology practice! Our company provides a great work-life balance with no weekends or holidays work. An ideal candidate will be patient-focused with a love for the senior community. We are currently looking to fill a Full Time, Ophthalmic Technician position for our Edmonds Clinic.
- Take patients' medical histories, perform workups, and perform ophthalmic diagnostic exams to obtain the information needed for the provider to determine a diagnosis
- Operate ophthalmic equipment, such as Auto Refractor, Retinoscopes, Phoropters, Slit Lamp, Pentacam/Topography, Wavescan, IOL master/ Lenstar, Projectors, Zeiss OCT, and Heidelberg OCT.
- Assist providers in performing ophthalmic procedures and by performing clinical functions, such as room flow, status communication to patient and provider
- May instruct the patient in the care and treatment of eye conditions, apply dressings to the eye, as well as assist medical providers with documentation of exam data.
- Triages phone calls from patients and outside contacts in accordance with the standard of care for Ophthalmology and office policies.

Requirements
Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, etc.).
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office products, Windows and G-Suite environments, and strong keyboarding skills.
- Willing to help in all areas, have flexibility, and effectively work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for exemplary customer service.
- Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and patient confidentiality.
- Strong organization with an attention to detail
