Sales and Service Engineer - Iron and Steel

Position Summary:

Immediate opening for an outside sales and service person covering the Mid-West Region, including but not limited to areas between Indiana and Pennsylvania, focused on integrated steel plants. And an opening for an outside sales and service person covering the South-East Region. As a part of our sales team, you will be expected to work individually and as part of a team to expand market presence and increase sales.

This person will report directly to regional representatives to grow Seven Lakeway’s product offerings in Northwest Indiana to the integrated and the industrial market. This person will be driven to obtain set goals. They will be driven to obtain set goals and safely work in an industrial setting. They will be working in a 24/7 industry that may dictate a varied work schedule and the potential for unlimited overnight travel. They will respond to clients’ needs and identify opportunities and solutions. They will report exceptions to the normal course of business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain relationships and sales with current and potential customers through in person and digital visits

· Develop and implement a sales plan

· Work independently out of a home-based office with minimal supervision

· Coordinate with the sales team to respond to clients’ needs and identify opportunities and solutions

· Provide sales reports, in writing, verbally, or through presentations as requested

· Provide the operations team with all required information so they can provide the most accurate quotations, review quotations and send finalized quotes to customers

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, or equivalent industry experience in refractories, steel or iron production

· Minimum 5 years experience in the steel or iron industry

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Learn and use SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM/ERP system.

· Have a valid driver’s license with a clear record and the ability to obtain a passport

· Fluent in English

Skills:

· Strong communication skills in person, over the phone and through email.

· Ability to be flexible and adaptable

· Effective negotiating skills

Work Environment:

· North-West Indiana and Illinois accounts with other accounts possible

· South-East Region

· Work from home-office

· Travel to Ohio Office up to twice monthly

· Ability to travel multiple time a week to assigned accounts

· Limited overnight travel will be expected

· Occasional night and weekends hours will be expected as training and job duties demand

· 10+ Mbps of high-speed home internet connectivity required (hotspot not acceptable)

· Phone connectivity at home office

· Subject to a background check

· Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
