Job description

The Farms of Muscongus Bay Aquaculture and Dodge Cove Marine Farm cultivate delicious American oysters, hard clams, and bay scallops in the beautiful, and renowned Damariscotta River of mid-coast Maine.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and level-headed individuals, with an excellent work ethic, to come join our oyster packing crew.

Duties may include, but not be limited to;

• Receiving oysters from our farms and efficiently transfering them to the Oyster House coolers.
• Grading, sorting, and counting oysters.
• Packing into boxes/bags and tagging appropriately.
• Moving pallets of product.
• Loading delivery trucks.
• Maintining a clean and safe work environment.

Relevant skills and attributes:

• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work fast and efficiently.
• Attention to detail: checking oysters for sizes, cleanliness, pulling out dead and obvious damaged, correct numbers in bags/boxes, etc.
• Making boxes, counting bags.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Happy working as part of a team.
• Organized and diligent.
• Positive attitude.

Must be able to work in the U.S., and have a valid U.S. driver’s license
