Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is hiring a 12-month, Full-Time, Benefited, P-12 Educational Program Manager to work in the Greater Oregon STEM Hub (GO STEM).

The Greater Oregon STEM Hub (GO STEM) is a regional cross-sector collaborative working to improve and guide integrated science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in Eastern Oregon communities. GO STEM provides engaging learning experiences that promote and inspire educational and personal success among the educators and students it serves.
The Greater Oregon STEM Hub’s P-12 Educational Outreach Program Manager designs, manages, and implements STEM Education, Career Connected Learning (CCL), and Work-based Learning (WBL) programming tied to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for educators, students, community members, and other partners across the seven-county region of the GO STEM Hub.
Responsibilities
Mobile Maker Lab Project Curriculum and Outreach
  • Develop, expand, and deliver Mobile Maker Lab (MML) curriculum, activities, and events for in- and out-of-school outreach,
  • Prepare and deliver pre- and post- curriculum efforts aligned with MML programming to extend student learning and outcomes,
  • Collaborate with Mobile Maker Lab Managers and partners on program delivery efforts and outreach,
  • Work with school districts, educators, community members, and other partners to raise awareness of the MML, prepare partners for MML visits, and assist in scheduling the MML’s calendar,
  • Provide professional development synchronously and asynchronously for educators to implement program practices within the MML curricular scope,
  • Prepare and deliver survey instruments and synthesize findings to inform future curricular adaptations and/or expansion of the MML program efforts,


Hub Program Management, Curriculum Development, and Support
  • Build and support Hub educational programming in the seven-county region,
  • Plan and organize Hub events for and communicate with schools, businesses, and organizations,
  • Collaborate with the STEM Hub Network across the state on a variety of programs, events, and initiatives,
  • Work with P-20 youth and educators on a variety of STEM projects, camps, training sessions, classroom visits, industry tours, and other initiatives germane to the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization,
  • Develop and deliver STEM and CCL curriculum aligned with NGSS and Common Core standards,
  • Propose and implement resource development, training, and operational improvements,
  • Provide staff training related to NGSS, Common Core, and other P-12 educational outreach efforts,
  • Use a trauma-informed and Oregon equity lens in design and delivery of program services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in traditional- and/or non-traditional educational settings with a diverse population of administration, educators and students.
  • Three (3) years of working knowledge and expertise with the Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core Standards, lesson planning, developing STEM curriculum.
  • Three (3) years of experience in developing, implementing and managing programs and events, including leading professional development for educators and industry professionals.


  • Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check. Having a criminal history is not an automatic bar to employment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or previous teacher licensure.
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated successful experience collaborating with schools, community partners and other youth-oriented institutions and organizations (Extension, libraries, etc.).
  • Five (5) years of teaching experience in a traditional K-12 classroom educational setting.
