Job Objective:
Coordinates a variety of environmental and regulatory activities including air, water and waste issues. Helps develop and promote environmental management systems, policies, procedures, and programs. Promotes Environmental Stewardship throughout the company.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists EHS department with the tracking of all air, water, norm, and waste permits, and all modifications and documentation of permits.
  • Works with operations to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local air regulations.
  • Prepares emissions inventories and annual reporting for New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) compliance and works with operations to ensure continued compliance.
  • Experience working with Title V and state air permit applications under NSPS, Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT), National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) compliance, testing and reporting,
  • Conducts field-based training for operations personnel on local permit requirements to ensure that programs for compliance are in place and adequate.
  • Oversees consultants as required in the development of specialized permitting.
  • Coordinates routine compliance inspections with Operations for air permits and participates in external audits as required.
  • Maintains files for air permits and compliance reporting.
  • Assists with, and participates in the company’s emergency response situations and spill management program.
  • Maintains the company’s state and federal spill response plans.
  • Assists the EHS staff with due diligence and environmental remediation projects by tracking all essential documentation associated with projects.
  • Files and maintains annual Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier II reports.
Other Job Responsibilities:
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Five (5) years minimum regulatory and environmental oil and gas experience.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
Preferred: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Education Requirements:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college
  • Preferred: Degree Specialization in Environmental Sciences/Engineering.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
  • CPEA, CEM, or REM preferred.
