The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of Palemon Gaskins Nursing Home. Manages staff at the facility. In cooperation with all other staff ensure residents’ quality of life and care is maintained at appropriate levels established by PGNH. Responsible for goals and objectives; budgetary process and control; personnel functions, writing and reviewing policies and procedures; continuous quality improvement; educational growth and development and meeting of licensure requirements. Attend training or educational sessions to become more proficient in job responsibilities. Assist other staff to maintain the cooperative attitude of the organization. As a Licensed Nursing Home in the State of Georgia, Administrator is responsible to maintain all state licensure requirements for the facility.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and Qualification to meet Nursing Home Administrator Licensing requirements.

Current Licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Georgia.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the workday, lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
• External and internal applicants who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided of or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
• Position has a moderate expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.
