Housekeeper Job Description

Our goal is to provide a superior level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment.

Reports to the Environmental Services Director and Assistant Director for work scheduling.

Performs daily cleaning procedures in accordance with HHS training videos in assigned areas.

Records work completed on Area Assignment Checklist.

Polices assigned area at the beginning of each shift.

Responds to Housekeeping pages.

Performs other tasks as assigned by department Director.

Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift.

Capable of lifting furniture and equipment (25 – 100 lb.) frequently.

Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.

Capable of pushing and pulling furniture and equipment (25 – 100 lb.) frequently.

Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e., bleach, wax, Virex, etc.).

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and even other hours as needed per assigned area.

Must have communication skills in English.'
