Job Summary:
The Participant Experience Specialist provides clerical, administrative and communication leadership for the Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Team and attending participants. As an essential front-line member of the Program delivery team, the Participant Experience Specialist is responsible for actively engaging potential
and enrolled participants and stakeholders with excellent customer service skills. This position requires the ability to perform multiple tasks with excellent organizational and computer skills in a busy virtual office setting.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Work with the Director, Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Program, physicians, and clinical team to
achieve program objectives and enhance clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the Director, Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Program, in the development and
implementation of the virtual Ornish Lifestyle Medicine program.
  • Support the relationship and communications with the participant management vendor, CareTrack.
  • Primary support for the Ornish delivery team, CareTrack, as needed, to manage program inquiries
and potential participant processes.
  • Assist in oversight of the billing/reimbursement/insurance management processes by ensuring visits are accurately recorded.
  • Functions as the primary point of contact for all participant and clinical team communications.
  • Lead the scheduling and coordinating of participant eligibility screening, program enrollment,

  • Excellent computer skills and entry-level experience with information system technology
  • Demonstrates an ability and willingness to become knowledgeable of the components and the philosophical underpinnings of the Ornish Lifestyle Medicine in order to convey accurate
information when managing Program inquiries
  • Exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology
  • Exhibits sensitivity to the needs of participants
  • Desire and ability to work in a participant-centered, team-oriented environment
