Partnerships Lead APP - Outpatient - Malignant Hematology and Cellular Therapy

Based in the Malignant Hematology and Cellular Therapy Department, Moffitt at Memorial Healthcare System, the Partnerships Lead APP (non-procedure based) serves as an Advance Practice Professional, practicing medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center and Memorial Healthcare System. Provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group, and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.
This Lead APP position will work in an Outpatient patient care setting.
Position Highlights:
- Serves as an intermediary between APPs and the Supervisor and Clinical Director in collaboration, development, communication and implementation and monitoring of a broad range of initiatives, tasks and projects as directed by the APP supervisor, Clinical Director, Department Administrator or Program Chair including managing schedules, employee related issues, mentoring and orienting APPs and problem-solving clinical issues.
- As a medical provider that is not a physician, but is licensed to diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of a physician, the APP assists physicians in the evaluation, management and treatment of patients.
- The Lead APP is involved in a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures and co-morbidities.
- The position works independently within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s).
- The APP Lead will have 10% protected effort in order to perform the duties of the APP Lead.

Credentials and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse program.
- Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
- Active BLS and ACLS.
- Minimum one (1) year experience as an oncology APP provider and minimum of six (6) months in current specialty required.
- Has served in a leadership role in a program or hospital wide committee preferred.
