the girl & the fig CATERS! is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Pastry Chef.
Successful candidates for the Assistant Pastry Chef position will have strong pastry skills with at least two years of experience in a related position in a high volume, dynamic environment.
Essential Duties...
...Assist in production for restaurant locations, including desserts, ice cream, and breads.
...Assist in production and decoration of custom cake orders.
...Prepare and decorate a variety of goods, such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, etc.
...Develop customized cakes and baked goods for weddings and special events
Qualifications...
...Must have at least two years of applicable experience
...Ability to provide or complete CA Food Handler certification and renew as necessary
...Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, recipe books, and procedural manuals
