Sodexo is seeking a Patient Experience Manager for Peconic Bay Medical Center is Riverhead, NY. This is a 200-bed community hospital providing a variety of inpatient and outpatient nutrition services. In this customer-service focused role, you will be responsible for conducting performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to help improve patient satisfaction in relation to the meal experience. The ideal candidate will have a dietetics background (Registered Dietitian, RD-eligible, DTR, or Associates in Nutrition), having knowledge of therapeutic diets and have a passion for the well-being of their patients.


Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Patient Services Manager will:

  • Be energetic, focused, and innovative while continuously improving the patient’s meal experience;
  • Conduct daily meal rounding with patients and analyze reports to strategize action-items;
  • Provide nutrition education to patients on therapeutic diets and screen for high risk criteria;
  • Collaborate with Food Service Operators and Registered Dietitians regarding the patient meal service provision;
  • Ensure proper meal assembly procedures are in place and provide staff training and mentoring;
  • Understand therapeutic dietary orders and provide education to patients.

  • The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year experience in Service Recovery role at large hospitality or hospital environment
