Hours: 1pm to 930pm and every other weekend.

Job Summary:

Our Patient Transport team members assist patients getting from one location to another in our 8 building facility. Patient Transporters move patients from one place to another by either walking with the patient, pushing the patient in a wheel chair or pushing the patient while in a patient bed. The Patient Transporter will converse with the patient and actively engage with each and every patient. Patient Transporter will abide by all safety procedures and put the patient first. Patient Transporters spend ample time working independently. Patient Transporters must be able to be on their feet all day, push patient beds, and assist with moving and sliding patients from one location to another. The Patient Transporter role requires associates to be physically active throughout the entirety of their day. Patient Transporters serve as the ongoing customer service representatives throughout the patient experience at Froedtert hospital.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Six months to one year of customer service experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Ability to receive and convey non-medical information. Must possess good public relations and communication skills. Must be able to interact well with the general public and be able to make sound judgments in a variety of situations. Must possess basic telephone and computer skills. Ability to use hospital software to obtain information is required for staff monitoring entrances.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
