Position Summary

The Payroll Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the company's payroll accounting processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting related to payroll at multiple US BU’s. This includes managing the general ledger accounts related to payroll, reconciling payroll accounts, and ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.


Essential Functions Statements
  • Manage the payroll accounting process, including reconciling payroll accounts, preparing journal entries, and overseeing the general ledger accounts related to payroll at multiple US BU’s
  • Maintain accurate payroll accounting records and ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement payroll accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate accounting for payroll-related transactions.
  • Implement process changes, including working with ERP team for systematic changes, providing training to BU teams for continued execution, and designing KPI to ensure success of solutions.
  • Assist Operational Accounting function with upcoming integration of new timekeeping system.
  • Assist Controllership team with the development and implementation of new Metrea Control Matrix specific to payroll function.
  • Act as a liaison with external financial and governmental auditors regarding accounting for payroll.
  • Collaborate with HR and ADP to ensure seamless payroll and benefits administration and accurate financial reporting.
  • Proficient business writing skills.
  • Experience with comparable, diverse, multi-business unit organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting for payroll, payroll taxes, and various benefits provided to employees.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting best practices
  • Proficient with MS Office (particularly Excel) and fluent in the use of modern software tools and applications (Power query & Power BI knowledge is useful)
  • Knowledge of D365

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates

Education: Bachelors degree in related field.
Experience: Previous payroll accounting management experience
Certificates and Licenses:
  • Valid Driver’s License
Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook Suite Products

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Employee must be a US citizen.
Employee must be able to hold and maintain a Secret (or higher) Clearance Level.
Employee must have and maintain a U.S. Passport.
