The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sr Payroll Tax Analyst in ensuring accurate and timely tax payments and filings are completed for all local, state, and federal taxes. Another responsibility is to ensure all shared service departments, as well as operational leadership’s report requests are fulfilled. Other responsibilities will include payroll processing and supporting the other 16 employees in the department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support Payroll leadership team in day-to-day tasks.
  • Support the preparation of all payroll related accounting reports for the monthly close processes.
  • Manage scheduled reports required by all areas of the business.
  • Create miscellaneous reports as requested.
  • Support all audit requests from internal and external partners.
  • Process payrolls and act as a backup to specialists when on PTO
  • Address payroll inquiries from employees as necessary
  • Speak to and work directly with Medical Directors, Practice Administrators, and all other Shared Services departments that impact payroll.
  • Participate in multi-tax analysis and provide back up to the Sr Payroll Tax Analyst
  • Timely transmission of tax deposit to ADP in coordination with the Sr Payroll Tax Analyst
  • Report on-line payroll information to the Department of Labor as needed.
  • Year End processing – Ensuring the accuracy of payroll tax records, employee W-2’s and year end reporting to internal departments and external agencies, as well administer the post year end process of W-2c (corrections of W-2) as needed.
  • Providing Back up to the Sr Payroll Tax Analyst in creating the Monthly General Ledger from the Payroll System and any tax research issues.
  • Back up for Sr Payroll Tax Analyst in creating and transmitting Print, ACH, Tax and Garnishment files to ADP.
  • Perform payroll duties regarding Unclaimed Property filing by General Ledger.
  • Properly document to pass all internal and external audit requests regarding payroll tax and payroll processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred: AA in Accounting or Business or equivalent degree.

Experience: Required: Five years multi-state and local tax experience
Preferred: Five plus years’ experience in a related payroll atmosphere with ADP knowledge.

Skills: Required: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Windows, Database Applications and Accounting Software, detail oriented, Highly organized
Preferred: ADP System, UGK, Oracle knowledge
