At Home Compassionate Care is looking to expand our team of Personal Caregivers/Direct Service Workers in the Lake Charles area for day and weekend shifts. We are recruiting for compassionate, dependable, and energetic Personal Caregivers. For the right person, this profession provides an enriching and fulfilling career path.

Job Description:

Providing assistance to clients with dressing, bathing, meal prep, light housekeeping, etc.

Prep meals according to the customer’s dietary restrictions

Help customers with their shopping as needed

Do the necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment

Provide emotional support as mandated by a comprehensive plan of care

Recognize and inform supervisors about uncommon and unusual circumstances related to the Client

Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements:

Proven experience as a personal care assistant

Committed to health & safety

Able to do light housekeeping and cooking

Well-organized and reliable

Excellent communication and people skills as daily progress notes are required

A positive and compassionate attitude

Strong ethics

Physical stamina

CPR certified

High school diploma or equivalent

A valid driver’s license

Must have a mobile device with reliable internet service
