Now Hiring – Registered Pharmacy Technician for Our Order Entry Team

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, (8 or 10 hour shift), occasional weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with nurses, physicians, and caregivers

• Manage incoming phone calls and emails

• De-escalate and troubleshoot issues for customers

• Update consumer profiles and medication administration records

• Accurately and efficiently enter new or refill orders

• Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections

• Properly handle order exceptions such as refill-too-soon, invalid orders, etc.

• Communicate effectively with leadership and peers

• Achieve or exceed productivity standards in a fast-paced environment

• Work with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and obtain refill approvals

Required Skills/Abilities

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3 years preferred

• Minimum one year experience with prescription order entry and prescription adjudication and problem-solving; 2+ years preferred

• Must possess a CT Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration

• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

• Positive personality who easily builds rapport through the phone/email

• Experience with QS1, and DocuTrack preferred but not required

• Proficient typing skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Can meet order deadlines

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions

• Can perform pharmacy calculations

• Is available for occasional nights, weekends, or overtime.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to withstand long hours of computer screen time

• Repetitive motion deskwork
