Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group (VERG) is ready to hire a Pharmacy Technician to help support our fast-growing needs! If you are a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant with pharmacy experience, make sure to check us out!
As the Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for the hospital's pharmaceuticals. Some of your responsibilities would include:
- Fill any prescriptions in pharmacy that are pending
- Check messages for any pending refills
- Process refills/Call owners to notify them of pick up times or any medications that cannot be refilled
- Process any refills from outside pharmacies (refill requests), call owners to notify request has been processed (including denials) and
document in record
- Check inventory and notify the managers of any medications/labels/items needed
- Restock
- Send all medications to call center
- Sort through medications that have been filled and not picked up once a week
