The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a breast surgical oncologist to join our highly skilled team at our NCI Designed Comprehensive Cancer Center.
About the Position:
- NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Tertiary care center covering multi-state region
- Strong clinical trials
- Breast Surgery call only (no general surgery call required)
- Outstanding Compensation and Benefits
- Breast Surgery Fellowship training preferred
Full Complement Multi-disciplinary Support Team:
- Active Cancer Patient Support
- Dedicated fellowship trained breast radiologists, breast medical oncologists, pathologist, radiation oncologists, Advanced Practitioner Providers, and genetic councilors
- Comprehensive lymphedema prevention, education, and treatment program
- Breast-specific, dedicated nurse navigators
- Microvascular plastic surgeons trained in all free flap reconstruction techniques
- Non-Cancer Patient Support
- Survivorship Program
- High risk and Breast Cancer Prevention
- Patient Care and Research Conferences
- Multidisciplinary Cancer Conference – weekly
- Multidisciplinary Benign Concordance Conference – weekly
- Breast Cancer-Specific Disease Working Group – monthly
- Research Support and Opportunities
- Translational research lab start-up available
- Comprehensive Clinical Trials Office support
- Investigator Initiated Trials (IIT) encouraged
