Weyerhaeuser is searching for a Distribution - Production Planner to support the Distribution Center located in Jacksonville, FL. The Distribution - Production Planner is part of the Distribution organization and reports to the local Site Operations Manager.

Our experienced operations team with over 40 LEAN greenbelts provides a safe and efficient delivery service. About our Wood Products Business We manufacture and sell an innovative collection of proven structural framing materials to the residential, multi-family and light commercial markets, and provide seamless building solutions, from design to installation to support. This team moves fast, works smart and never stops pushing to be and stay number one in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares daily production plans for the operation and releases orders prearranged to ensure optimal flow of work
• Establish production parameters, in collaboration with Sales
• Provides leadership for Weyerhaeuser associates by providing guidance and support operations and customer service
• Works with Sales Team to effectively optimize and balance work schedules
• Monitor facility supplies and order when needed
• Schedule equipment maintenance when needed
• The ability to effectively communicate with the Weyerhaeuser Team, Carriers and Customers is required
• The ability to identifying obstacles to ensure safety of our people and the quality of our products
• The ability to perform cycle counts and reconciled inventory (with SAP) is required
• Able to load/unload and pull orders as needed
• Managing railcar orders and manage release steps
• Utilizes optimizer tool to schedule and release production orders and to make changes as necessary

• High School Diploma/GED is required; Bachelors Degree is preferred
• Proficiency in SAP
• Prior distribution experience
• Prior experience Order Planning or Dispatching
• Strong interpersonal / organizational skills, effective communication skills, written, listening and oral.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Ideal candidate is a good communicator, open to feedback, shows initiative, and is a team player with a customer service mindset
