Position Summary:

The person in this position work strategically with the Planning Manager to support production planning activities for all production resources in our Suffolk, Virginia manufacturing plant. This role will also support to the Customer Relations team.

Job Duties:

• Create, track, and maintain short-term production plans to be delivered to the Manufacturing team timely each week
• Maintain detailed planning and scheduling parameters in Logility/ERP systems to allow optimal use of system scheduling functionality
• Incorporate input from all relevant departments to ensure schedules are realistic within relevant constraints and latest information. Ensure all feedback regarding changes to existing plans is incorporated into schedules in timely manner
• Manage and maintain all master data elements for NDP in ERP system for Planning
• Thoroughly understand the planning system, how it works, how it interfaces and how the output translates to Packaging and Green MRP’s
• Create, maintain and manage all work orders for the Value-Add Team
• Perform Customer Relations duties to support overflow work and back-up for vacations

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
• Experience in Manufacturing environment
• Experience in production scheduling or supply chain management
• Ability to solve problems and think logically to bring about solutions
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and keep-up in fast paced environment
• Sense of urgency to work efficiently and understand the collective end goal
• Excellent Computer skills including Excel, Outlook, ERP, Logility or similar systems experience
• Highly detail oriented and well organized
• Ability to work independently
• Strong ability to maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization (both internally and externally) while resolving problems.
