If you have a green thumb and enjoy tending to plants, then consider being a part time plant caretaker. Planticular is looking for people who own houseplants, have horticulture experience, and want to help make New York greener by making it easy for people to tend to their houseplants.

Essential Duties
The plant caretaker is responsible for:
- tending to plants at a plant owner's home or business. This means watering plants as necessary, reporting on their health status, pruning and monitoring for pests.
- tending to plants off-site which includes picking up the house plant, storing it at the plant caretaker's location, and returning it after a specified period of time
- answering questions about houseplants for owner's who may not know how to tend to plants
- documenting the plant's health by taking pictures and writing down a description before and after tending to it

- perform plant installation duties and transplants

Job Insights
- For this job, you'll be able to choose your availability to work with recurring clientsyou. This job will involve attending multiple plant locations in New York City, Jersey City, Greenwich, Queens, and Brooklyn, depending on your availability.
- To be considered for this role, you will have to pass a plant care abilities assessment on our website where you will be asked to present information about the types of plants you have familiarity with, the type of lighting or space you have to store plants, the number of years you have working with plants, your availability, and pass a quiz.

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in gardening or farming and familiarity with house plants or horticulture. Ability to manage a schedule of multiple plant caretaking sites
- 18 years or older and living in New York City metropolitan area
- Use a mobile website to schedule availability and log/input forms on a mobile device
- Be able to lift up to 25lbs, ascend ladders, stand for extended periods of time, travel to different locations on foot, speak with clients and guests, and work both indoors and outdoors
