Business Need/Purpose of Role:

As a Plant Engineer you will be responsible for managing, the design, development, and maintenance of plant systems and facilities that support operations. You will also lead plant safety, energy conservation and other compliance initiatives.

Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the continuous improvement of plant equipment reliability and maintenance
  • Production system evaluation, specification, and selection
  • Installation and commissioning or decommissioning of plant systems and facilities
  • Plant safety, energy conservation, and environmental compliance
  • Process trouble shooting and optimization
  • Plant wide Integration and support of product specific manufacturing systems and cells
  • Research and Develop advanced manufacturing solutions and process innovations

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
  • 5 years minimum experience with exposure to heavy industry manufacturing processes required with Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8 years minimum experience required with Associates degree
  • Foundry experience a plus.
  • Dust Collection, Electric Arc Furnace and large Crane experience is highly desired
  • Heavy industry project planning and management experience required
  • Proficiency in 2D CAD and 3D Modeling systems
  • Solid project engineering, communication skills with the ability to thrive working with cross functional teams
