Jobot's client is seeking a Machining Plant Supervisor to join their team in the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the machining plant and ensuring that all production targets are met. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in CNC machining, programming, and supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the machining plant, including overseeing production schedules, ensuring quality control, and managing inventory levels.
- Ensure that all machines are properly maintained and serviced, and that all safety protocols are followed.
- Train and supervise a team of 10-20 machinists and operators to ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their jobs.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to ensure that all products meet customer specifications.
- Monitor and report on plant performance, including production rates, quality metrics, and safety statistics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in CNC machining, programming, and supervision.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of machinists and operators.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes, including experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
