Aviva Investors Portfolio Analyst (Fixed Income – High Yield) – Chicago

A bit about the job:
Aviva Investors are looking to hire an individual to join our Chicago office as a full-time portfolio analyst. This role will be within our high yield investment team and is designed to provide both fundamental credit and data analytics support to our portfolio manager team. Your responsibilities within this team are to model, review and present portfolio analytics, performance, and attribution reports to portfolio managers and the credit investment team. You will assist portfolio managers in the evaluation of new or existing securities for inclusion in the portfolio and build, monitor and maintain tools using Python, Bloomberg BQNT, VBA, and/or other languages to track markets and match opportunities with our portfolio holdings and create a visualization interface. The role holder will work closely with credit analysts and traders to generate new investment ideas.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Well-developed and creative problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Have proficient working knowledge of Python or other coding languages.
- Team oriented and collaborative, confident.
- Must be a self-starter, entrepreneurial, self-motivated.
- Bachelor’s degree (economics, finance, accounting, data science or related discipline) or able to demonstrate a suitable depth of intellectual knowledge and maturity.
