Job description
Pre-K Counts is a comprehensive pre-kindergarten program for eligible children aged five. It provides children with a developmentally appropriate early childhood education.
Job Responsibilities:
- The job of the Pre-K Counts Instructor was established to provide support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas.
- Developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines.
- Collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues.
- Responding to a wide range of inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding the instructional program and student progress.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree & PDE Early Childhood Certification.
- Experience with the pre-school population desired.
- Knowledge in Early Literacy.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
- Able to work at centers within Delaware County.
- Able to work within a team concept.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to frequently lift twenty pounds.
- Basic computer skills.
