Join Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc., a private, non for profit health and human service agency as a Pre Trial Release Case Manager for the Onondaga County Pre Trial Release Program in Syracuse, NY to gain great experience. The Pre Trial Release Case Manager monitors and assists clients in the Onondaga Pre Trial Release program to fulfill the required release conditions.

Case Managers will use their skills to:

• Conduct interviews in Onondaga Justice Center to provide the court verified information about the defendant to help in pre trial release or sentencing decisions.
• As determined by the courts meet face to face or via telephone with defendants.
• Supervise and monitor defendants upon release; secure their attendance at future court appearances; secure substance abuse treatment and employment, education, shelter and health services.
• Act as liaison between the defendant and the courts.
• Report to the courts the client's adherence to the pre trial release conditions.

Qualifications for a Case Manager include:

Have an AAS degree in criminal justice or related field. Candidates who are multi-lingual and have prior experience will be given preference. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work with individuals from diverse and troubled backgrounds; also the ability to work independently and to work a flexible rotating schedule.
