JOB TITLE: Lead Certified Classroom Teacher

GROUP / GRADE: Preschool/Pre-K - ECE

SALARY: $18.00-$22.00 hourly (depending on experience)

BONUS: hiring bonus of $1000 (after 30 days) & Up to $2,000 for completion of 22-23 school year

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position provides a developmentally appropriate instructional program that meets the needs of all the children and is compatible with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Early Childhood Program as well as World Compass Academy. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet Lead Teacher Licensing Requirements or in the process of completing
• Must be at least 19 years old
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain these certifications within 30 days
• Must have current Universal Precautions or obtain within 30 days.
• Collaborate with co-teacher to create and implement daily lesson plans
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with team, as well as with others
• Follows and enforces procedures as stated in the WCA Procedures Manual
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff
• Works toward the goal of providing high-quality childcare and education
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, staff, and coworkers
• Follows WCA policies and education goals
• Follows and enforces Rules Regulating School-Age Child Care Centers
• Other duties as assigned by Director

Required Experience: 1-year preschool/Pre-K teaching experience preferred

Other Information and Working Conditions:

• Each year, July 1 through May 31, the leader must complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Occasional lifting, pulling, and/or pushing
• Moderate effort may be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, reaching, climbing
• Visual concentration
• Squatting
• Working with others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
