Aerometals is looking to add the following position:

Press Brake Operator

Pay range: $30-$37/hour

Our Aerometals is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our team. You must know how to read blueprints to determine the measurements of each product and operate the press brake to cut and bend the materials into the shape according to specifications. Once the pieces are done, you will check to make sure they are the correct size and shape. You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work. Our ideal candidate has a relevant certificate and several years of experience working with CNC (computer numerical control) equipment.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Follow traveler, drawing and specification requirements pertaining to fabrication operations.
• Select proper tooling based on material thickness and type, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Perform various fabrication methods such as; forming, riveting, CNC punch, CNC brake, manual brake, shearing, bending, grinding, flaring.
• Interpret mylars.
• Experience with AMADA equipment helpful

Qualification Requirements:

Education: High school or equivalent

Skills:

• Mechanically inclined. Ability to follow instructions. Familiarity with drawings, specifications, work instructions. Safety conscious.

Experience:

• 3 years’ minimum experience with sheet metal manufacturing procedures.

Training: On the job training.
