Pay Rate: $21/hr

Job Summary:

Responsible for operating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining printing equipment. Maintains quality check log and completes production report on a daily basis. Communicates quality, material, and production issues to supervisor by performing the following duties.

Job Duties:

• Reads job specs and procures all applicable tooling
• Sets up the machine to accommodate for job orders and specs in the production run
• Conducts ongoing visual inspection of machine for leaks, loose belts, etc., according to checklist
• Performs clearance procedure for shift change over
• Conducts machine adjustments as needed to meet customer specifications
• Completes set up profile sheets for new jobs
• Performs checks for compliance to customer specifications and quality standards
• Identifies and promptly reports to supervisors equipment malfunction, material, safety, and/or quality issues
• Completes forms, documents, and quality measurements per production run
• Performs line clearance procedures in the event of a product change
• Complies with company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Performs special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel
• Observes operation of the machine and verifies conformance of machined work-piece to specifications
• Diagnosis and repair of minor mechanical failures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have one year certificate from college or technical school; three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have strong analytic, mathematical, verbal, and written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must be practical, with good decision-making skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must be able to work independently and set priorities to meet firm reporting deadlines
• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
• Previous Tube Manufacturing experience
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Problem-solving, individual and group facilitation
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Wilkes-Barre, PA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
