Your Role: What you'll be doing

ULA is looking for an Engineer to join the Avionics Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) team in Centennial, CO.
This position is for an experienced PMP engineer, with responsibilities to include the following:
  • Serve as an essential team member within the Avionics PMP Group as the Subject Matter Expert for EEE piece parts – focusing on EEE piece part selection, defining and reviewing EEE part qualifications and lot testing plans (parts control plans), and evaluating EEE part changes/deviations
  • Lead EEE piece part failure investigations during lot testing, box-level environment testing, and failures in the field
  • Lead and take ownership for the evolution EEE part selection at ULA including the selection of EEE parts for long exposure/space radiation environments and evaluation of commercial EEE parts in high reliability applications
  • Interface with Avionics suppliers in support of Hardware Design, Manufacturing Processes Reviews, Build Instruction Reviews, and Build Anomaly Reviews
  • May require up to 20% travel

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 6-10 years of experience.

Your Background: What skills you'll need

  • A Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited college/university is required, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of EEE piece part Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA)
  • Knowledge of EEE part manufacturing (including FET, Hybrids, Resistors, Capacitors, etc)
  • Knowledge of EEE piece part layout requirements and installation requirements for next level assembly
  • Knowledge of EEE part reliability analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in the resolution of complex part, material, and process anomalies
  • Working knowledge of Military and Commercial parts, materials, and process specifications
  • Experience working independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written, including presentation skills)

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)

$115,142 - $179,922

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
