The Production Director is responsible for the overall sound of commercials and produced shows on our radio stations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Voice, produce, and mix Production Orders from the Sales team, which run the gamut of commercials, promos, show intros and outros, and other on-air content as required by Sales and management – and making changes to content as needed.
• Ensure all programming is in for weekend airing, in advanced, produced, and sent to Sales and Clients for review in advance of airings
• Recording and Engineering live and pre-recorded programs in studio, and on occasion with remote access by hosts and guests, via Zoom, Skype or phone
• Overseeing studios and calendars of recording times, and working with the Operations Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure studios are operating in satisfactory condition, and escalating any needed repairs
• Ensuring all live read copy is up to date and ensuring local hosts have the most recent copy
• Comfortable dealing with Talent – both Professional and Amateur, and teaching them radio fundamentals if first time host, and coaching them through recording sessions
• Ensuring evergreen programs are available for all local shows and hosts in case they can’t make their live or recorded studio time
• Making sure Master Control Operators, Production Assistants, and other Production personnel have clear and concise instructions on how to obtain programs in absence of Production Director
• Ready and able to fill in for Studio Engineers as needed

Requirements:

• At least (5) years of mid to major market experience in Radio
• Advanced Audio Editing skills such as Adobe Audition, ProTools, etc.
• Ability to work daily in our studios in downtown Manhattan
